GMO's--What are they and why are they necessary to feed the world?
The Grundy County Historical Society is hosting an agricultural lecture series developed by the I&M Canal Corridor Association and Donna Theimer.
The first presentation is by Brianna Gibson.
Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) have been around since the early 1990s. Understanding how they are created and why they are in modern day agriculture will be the focus of this modern-day agricultural development. This presentation is designed to give you updates on how this type of plant hybridization is used in our world.
