Grundy County Health Department is offering adult seasonal flu vaccine by appointment at a drive-through facility. Regular dose is available for those residents 18 years and older, and the high dose is available for residents 65 years and older. Each is quadrivalent, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses, including two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. Please visit the CDC website to learn more about the 2022-2023 flu vaccine composition.
This drive-through clinic site will be established at the Grundy County Highway Department, located at 245 IL-47, Morris (at the intersection of Rt47 and 113). Signage will be available to direct those with an appointment to enter off of Lowery Road. The vaccine will be administered in the shoulder through the car window, so residents are encouraged to wear clothing that provides easy access to the shoulder area without having to exit the vehicle.
